I can't get enough of acai bowls, but buying them out too often can become an expensive habit. Here's my homemade version that's also lower in sugar and higher in protein than many of the cafe varieties.

  1. Run the acai sachet under hot water for a few seconds, before opening it and breaking it up into chunks.
  2. Add the acai, banana, blueberries peanut butter and milk to a good blender (I use a Nutri Bullet). Cover and blend until combined and smooth, but make sure not to over-blend - you want this to be thick enough to eat with a spoon.
  3. Pour into a bowl, top with your favourite granola and extra fruit if you'd like and eat before it melts!
